Blistered Whiskers Volunteers
Blistered Whiskers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based on it's volunteers. Without them, the kitten shelter would not be standing. These kind people take their time to come to the shelter and help us whenever possible. There is always a need for more!

BLISTERED WHISKERS IS LOOKING TO FILL A FEW VERY IMPORTANT POSITIONS:
1. Multi-Purpose Volunteer
Play with kittens/cats
Change kitty litter pans (and wash)
Clean kitty dishes
Feed/water kitties
2. Adoption Counselor
One who can help answer inquiries on
e-mail, match adopters with cats
Someone who can help at an adoption event at
PETSMART a few hours a month on weekends
3. Foster Home (for cats and kittens)
All equipment and supplies furnished (except
for litter)
Qty: 1-6 cats and/or Kittens at your comfort level
4. Transporter, involves:
Picking up and driving cats and/or cat medicine
around between foster homes, adoption events
and vet appointments
5. Field Agent PETSMART:
Checking in on cats at our Petsmart located by Happy Valley Road
and Lake Pleasant Parkway
Play with the cats, cleaning, check
water/food/documentation
6. Photographer
Visit foster homes and other locations to take
pictures of cats/kittens for the website
Volunteer only if you are dependable and reliable!!
Whatever it is you think you might be able to help us with, we urge you to only get involved if you can be super, super dependable; Dependable meaning simply that you follow through with your commitment to whatever was scheduled for you. Even if you only commit to two hours per month, for the safety of the kitties: IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU DO NOT FLAKE-OUT the day before your scheduled activity. If you can find someone to cover for you, its fine. However, please only consider helping us if we can count on you to be dependable and reliable.

Community Service/Class Project Volunteering
We would love to have your help, so please email us as soon as you can if you need volunteering hours. We typically can not accomodate same day volunteering requests. Please allow 2-4 days to get a response about volunteering.
